Peter Karp is a storyteller who also is an assertive singer, an insightful songwriter, a spellbinding performer, and a searing slide guitarist with significant keyboard skills. Ever the multi-tasker, Karp bounces between several instruments, handling electric resonator slide guitar, acoustic guitar — as well as harmonica and piano. Each track driven home with his soulful voice and original songwriting style. On this record, having spent the past year tirelessly playing ever-larger venues and festivals to a burgeoning fan base in Europe and the US The Peter Karp Band continues to carve out his own unique niche, with a sound born in the swamps of New Jersey and the trailer parks in southern Alabama.

Karp is a singular musician whose ability to tap timeless emotions with such musical passion stands out. He emulates the power and soul of Springsteen, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Otis Redding, putting on one of the most entertaining show you’ve seen.

JP Soars & Damon Fowler

Damon Fowler

Born and raised in Brandon Florida just outside of Tampa, Damon first picked up the guitar at the age of 12. After being shown a few chords, it was apparent that he was a natural. While his friends were listening to the music flavor of the month, Damon was digging into the Blues, and was soon playing small clubs in and around the Tampa Bay area. Years later with thousands of shows behind him, you’ve got one of the most unique and seasoned acts on the national circuit.
Damon has been invited to many major festivals, and has graced the stage with the best in the business. He has three successful CD’s under his belt, and is currently working on a fourth.

His playing, writing, and vocal ability has brought him many accolades. His latest include Creative Loafing magazines “Best Guitarist, Best Lap-Steel player, Best Do-Bro player, & Best Slide player”, all rolled into one tight package. Damon has been touring the country since November 2004, and has built a dedicated fan base throughout. Current lineup is Damon on guitar and vocals, Chuck Riley on bass, and Scott Key on drums.

JP Soars

JP Soars (BLUES) Fiery South Florida guitarist J.P. Soars and his swinging band the Red Hots took first place in the 25th annual International Blues Challenge, held in Memphis in January 2009, beating out over 160 other contestants from around the world. Soars also individually won the event’s Albert King Award, which established him as the best guitar player in the competition. They’ve recently released their own self-produced album, Back Of My Mind, which features plenty of Soars’ incendiary fretwork on a mix of original tunes and inspired covers.

Jeff Mix & The Songhearts

Jeff Mix makes his hometown debut with his full band The Songhearts all the way from Las Vegas! Mix left Daytona when he was 19 years old for Vegas and for the first time he’s bringing his brand of Petty infused roots rock and country sounds to the Bank and Blues stage with his 5 piece band.

No depression magazine named their debut album/film, Lost Vegas Hiway, one of 2017’s best albums of the year and was nominated for an independent music award at Lincoln Center in New York City last spring. It will definitely be a night to remember!

Chris O’Leary Band

The Chris O’Leary Band plays American Roots music, steeped in the tradition of Memphis, Chicago and New Orleans.

Chris’s musical background includes duties as lead singer and front man for rock and roll hall of famer and Grammy award winner Levon Helm’s band The Barnburners. During the 6 years that Chris and Levon played together they toured across the US and Canada lighting up stages everywhere they went.

Chris has appeared on stage with: legendary Rolling Stones sideman Bobby Keys, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jimmy Vivino (leader of Conan O’Brien’s TV band), Jeff Healy, Dan Akroyd, Albert Lee, Dave Edmunds, Dave Maxwell and the great James Cotton to name just a few. Chris has also recorded with Bill Perry and Hubert Sumlin among others.

Popa Chubby

Popa Chubby, born Ted Horowitz, has been hard rocking the blues in his fierce and soulful way for more than 25 years. Over the course of a career that dates back to 1994, he has been a force of to be reckoned with on the guitar, and his tempestuous, soulful playing has never been more powerful. An imposing figure with a shaven head, tattooed arms, a goatee and a performance style he describes as “the Stooges meets Buddy Guy, Motörhead meets Muddy Waters, and Jimi Hendrix meets Robert Johnson,” Popa Chubby is an endearing character who is one of the genre’s most popular figures.

Memphis-based guitarist Jeff Jensen returns through Daytona on April 20 for a show at The Bank & Blues!  Jensen and his band mix soul, rock and American roots music into their blues on their fourth and latest album, “Morose Elephant.”

Jensen and company frequently tour Europe, performing in Germany, Belgium, Austria, Croatia, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
