Paul DesLauriers Band

December 1, 2018 9:00 pm 701 Main Street, Daytona Beach, Florida

The Paul DesLauriers Band is made up of guitarist and singer Paul DesLauriers and the rhythm section of Greg Morency on bass and Sam Harrisson on drums. Having worked together on various projects for nearly 20 years, the band has become bound by friendship and an unshakable mutual respect. Based on this history and an uncanny musical chemistry, in 2013 they decided to focus all their energy and talents to develop their distinctive power trio.

These Montreal-based, Canadian Blues veterans blend rock with straight-ahead blues in a way that echoes the vibe of the great power trios from the 60’s and 70’s, yet they take the music to another level via modern stylings and an attack that’s free of clichés. The aural texture of their music changes on a dime from guitar-driven pyrotechnic blazing to a much milder blues boogie with seamless ease. It’s all wondrously peppered with pleasing funky bass lines and a swamp-blues backbeat.

November 3, 2018 9:00 pm 701 Main Street, Daytona Beach, Florida

The Andy T Band, fronted by guitarist Andy T, began in 2011 as the Andy T – Nick Nixon Band, with vocalist Nick Nixon. As Blues Underground Network said, “Simply put, Andy T and James ‘Nick’ Nixon have quickly risen to the top of many people’s lists of Great Collaborations.”

Upon Nick Nixon’s 2016 retirement, Andy T and the band enlisted “Alabama Mike” Benjamin as lead singer. Mike is a dynamic, energetic vocalist that strongly connects with his audience. Tas Cru & his Band of Tortured Souls

October 27, 2018 9:00 pm 701 Main Street, Daytona Beach, Florida

Raucous, rowdy, gentle, sweet, eccentric, quirky, and outright irreverent are all words that fittingly describe Tas Cru’s songs and testify to his reputation as a one of the most unique of bluesmen plying his trade today. It’s not for nothing that Cru has received wide praise for his songwriting.  As Downbeat magazine noted, “His songs are blues poetry – crafted with rare verbal flair and his ability to cast a memorable hook is magical!” Live, these songs are performed with power and passion as observed by Living Blues magazine, “The vivacity and sheer joy with which Cru plays is intoxicating!”

Big Kettle Drum

September 8, 2018 9:00 pm 701 Main Street, Daytona Beach, Florida

Ten years of being “on the cusp” and “the band you should have seen” can wear a band down. Having played over 800 shows from Boston to Austin to Cheltenham, England, Big Kettle Drum (BKD) founding members Brant Christopher Menswar and JT Keel certainly have earned the right to kick off their boots and call it a night. But instead they continue to dive head first into writing and performing their genre-busting “Americana Soul” in living rooms, clubs and music halls across the country. Their music has been heard on dozens of  television shows and will be featured on Amazon’s “Hand of God” in the upcoming sophomore season. A decade of blue collar, morale crushing, playing to an empty room, life in a Kia Soul pulling a home-made trailer has earned them the kind of respect you deserve.

That respect has been given by the likes of Brandi Carlile, Nancy Griffith, Glenn Kaiser, Switchfoot, Tonic, Michael Tolcher, Will Hoge and others they have shared the stage with. It’s been given by Nashville songwriting machine, Marty Dodson (Six #1 singles with 20 million albums sold) who co-wrote six of the songs on their last two EP’s. Most importantly, it’s been given by their incredibly loyal fan base the band lovingly calls “Kettleheads”.

With the upcoming release of a new single and music video, BKD continues grinding it out til the banjo is out of tune, the guitar strings break and the suitcase kick drum needs more duct tape.
