Tampa native Damon Fowler unleashes his blues ’n’ roots music on The Bank via guitar, slide guitar, lap steel and dobro on October 28th!
After releasing two albums on the renowned blues label Blind Pig Records, Fowler teamed with guitarist J.P. Soars and keyboardist Victor Wainwright in 2011 to form the roots rock band Southern Hospitality. The group released the album “Easy Livin’ ” in 2013.
These days Fowler is back with his third solo album on Blind Pig, “Sounds of Home.” The blues ’n’ roots sets includes covers of Johnny Winter’s “TV Mama” and rocker Elvis Costello’s “Alison” plus the country-flavored “Old Fools, Bar Stools and Me,” the ballad “Do It for the Love” with guest Tab Benoit on pedal steel, and the traditional gospel song “I Shall Not Be Moved.”
